For those of you who don’t know Gerald Willhite, he is a former professional football player. Currently aged 54, Willhite was a member of the Denver Broncos, the team which selected him at the No.21 back in the 1982 NFL Draft. Gerald Willhite played at the running back position and recorded a nice career with the Broncos, with the highlight of it being the appearance in the Super Bowl XXI versus the New York Giants. He played football for the San Jose State College before he took the big step and made it to the top football league of the world. From the 1982 till the 1988 season, Willhite played alongside one of the best quarterbacks to ever pass from the NFL, John Elway. He was a started in 21 out of the 78 games he appeared in and recorded a total of 1,688 yards to go along with 17 touchdowns and 380 carries for his seven – year career. The former running back also caught 207 passes for 1,012 yards. He was also selected for the second team All – Pro in 1986.

However, a severe injury, in fact one of the scariest injuries in the history of the NFL put an end to his career. Gerald Willhite suffered a broken leg during a Denver Broncos game against Minnesota. During that moment, his leg seemed to turn towards the wrong direction and Willhite went down in huge pain.

After his retirement from the league, Gerald Willhite caught up with various businesses and he now also owns a restaurant in Rancho Cucamonga. Wake Up Now is one of the main businesses he is now in and he is a very active member of the company.
