CREATING YOUR VISION: PREPARE FOR SUCCESS WITH WAKEUPNOW, PART 2

Your success with WakeUpNow starts and ends with you—your work, your dedication, your mindset.

As Napoleon Hill said: “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it can achieve.” In other words, first see your success mentally; then believe you can physically achieve it.
In the last five posts of this series, we’ll discuss preparing mentally, understanding your motivation and vision for yourself, and developing the right habits now to get you where you want to be. First, we’ll dive into your motivations, your dreams. And then we will talk about developing the right habits to get you there.
It all starts with identifying your vision—your “why”: why you do the business everyday, why you share WakeUpNow with others, why you want to make money with WakeUpNow.

Creating Your Vision

Success with WakeUpNow Destination SignsLet’s say you want to go on a trip; but you don’t have a specific destination in mind. You just heard about how amazing travel can be if you just make the decision to go. So you pack up your car and set off down the road, sure that if you just go, you’ll end up somewhere great.
You drive and drive and drive, never really knowing where you’re going, relying on your confidence—which is beginning to wane—that you’ll get somewhere awesome, sometime. But remember, you have no idea where you’re going. You don’t know how much farther you have to travel. And you begin to wonder if this trip was really worth all the preparation and long hours of travel.
STOP!
You don’t want to experience that with your WakeUpNow business. It won’t get you anywhere. It will only lead to frustration and confusion. If you want success with WakeUpNow, you need to know your destination—what you really want out of your WakeUpNow business. You need to know your vision.

Knowing Your Vision as Part of Mental Preparation

Success with WakeUpNow VisionYour mental preparation is all about visualizing your success and creating a road map for how you will get there. Your vision provides the destination and motivation to keep you going, with something to work toward. Your vision is your “why”—why you work the business, why you use WakeUpNow products, why you want to share the WUNlife with others.
You joined WakeUpNow for a reason. The reason is part your story, as discussed in part one of this series. Maybe you joined WakeUpNow to make money. Maybe it was to get more stuff for a better price. Maybe it was to take advantage of all the WakeUpNow products that help you save, manage, and make money. Whatever your reason for joining WakeUpNow, think about it. That reason is the foundation for creating your vision and your “why.” Now it’s time to develop that reason, to understand what you truly want and turn it into a solid vision.

What Do You Want?

Success with WakeUpNow Want WordsPart of identifying your vision is figuring out what you want. Ponder where you want to be in the future personally and professionally. Think about your dreams and aspirations. Include your family, your business, and you—yes, think of yourself. Ask yourself the following:
  • What do you want to get out of your WakeUpNow business/experience?
  • What is in the WakeUpNow business for you?
  • For whom are you working your business?
  • What are your dreams in relation to your business?
  • What are your dreams for your life?
  • Where do you want to be in 2/5/10 years?
  • What are some things you want? Car? House? Money?
  • What do you really want out of life?

Crafting Your Vision

Craft_smOnce you know your desires: where you want to be in the future and what you want out of your WakeUpNow business, you can begin crafting your vision into words. Applying your vision to paper will also help solidify your vision, giving you a concrete goal to work toward.
To begin crafting your vision, visualize the things you want for yourself. Refer to your answers to the questions above. Think about the goals you want to accomplish. Be as specific as possible. Examples could be
  • Develop an income of $___ that allows me to leave my current employment or business.
  • Develop residual income of $ ___ for retirement.
  • Buy a brand-new silver Bentley Continental GT with all the perks: leather seats, great stereo system, and built-in phone and GPS.
  • Buy a new home: Victorian style with white siding and a wrap-around porch. Includes 4 bedrooms, 2 ½ baths, and two-car garage. Master bath includes en suite, walk-in closet, and small balcony overlooking backyard. Kitchen is classic design with dark wood cupboards and white countertops. Hardwood floors throughout the house.
  • Become debt-free in __ years by paying $___ on bills each month.
Now, this next part is where the fun begins:
Draft a visual representation of your vision. This can be a written sentence or two that sums up your vision, or it can be a vision board featuring images associated with your vision. However you choose to create your visual representation, post it somewhere you will see everyday so it will serve as a constant reminder and motivation for working the WakeUpNow business.

That’s Not It, of Course

The rest is up to you. How you achieve your vision depends on what you put into accomplishing it. Stay tuned for part three of “Preparing for Success with WakeUpNow” to learn more about setting goals to help you achieve your vision.
